This piece was inspired by the overwhelming beauty and wildness of the Kootenays in British Columbia. It was one of the first pieces I created when we moved to Canada. It will always hold a special place in my heart. I love watching viewers trying to pick out all the animals hidden in there. It's the same feeling when you go for a hike, I always feel hyper vigilant looking out for friendly or fierce animals and I get completely excited when my path crosses theirs. I hope this painting reminds you of your connection with nature and the joy it brings.
